Tip Of The Week

Some gym facilities will try to get you to sign up by telling you they can help you spot-reduce (losing fat from one particular part of the body), which is physiologically impossible.

If that was possible, people who chew gum would have a skinny face.

Think about it...

Reach Your Fitness Goals In 5 Simple Steps
By Garry King

If you are serious about achieving your fitness goals, read our 5 Simple Steps to better health and fitness.

Step 1: A Proper Fat Decreasing Diet

Contrary to what the food and beverage industry would like you to believe, a low fat diet is essential to maintaining proper macro-nutrient levels in the body. Non-fat diets are characteristically higher in sugar (fructose and sucrose), sodium, complex carbohydrates and fillers. And, non-fat foods require additives and preservatives to make them more palatable.

Step 2: Resistance Training

Regardless of your age, physical ability or gender, resistance training is a vital component in reaching your fitness goal. Based upon your initial fitness assessment, we will provide you with a customized resistance program that will help you burn calories, build lean muscle, lower body fat and increase your physical strength and endurance. Resistance training is essential in stimulating muscle hypertrophy.

Step 3: Cardiovascular Training

Don’t forget that you need to exercise your heart, too. Cardiovascular training is always done immediately following resistance training. Why? If cardio is done before resistance training you burn up stored glycogen reserves, (i.e., fuel for the muscle). In other words, if you do cardio first, you may not have enough stamina or energy for proper resistance training.

Step 4: Supplementation

Though many believe that diet alone will provide all the nutrition you need, the truth is that food alone is not enough. If you skip meals or have irregular eating habits, your body is not getting the fuel it needs to maintain optimum performance. And, in today’s world of prepackaged foods and eating-on-the-run, supplementation is key to delivering minerals and nutrients the body needs to survive.

By putting more nutrients, not calories, in the body you actually trick the body into burning fat for fuel. Royal Body Nutrition carries a full range of supplements that are FDA approved, Kosher, have zero calories and contain no fillers or additives.

Step 5: Personal Assistance

Royal Body Nutrition provides all clients with individual attention and professional guidance to help you achieve maximum results in the shortest amount of time possible. All clients are supervised throughout the Program by a certified fitness professional in a gym environment or, if you have your own equipment, within the privacy of your home.
